Interlink supports those communities affected by Australian bushfires

January 7th, 2020

Interlink have today donated $10,000 to support the victims of the devastating fires affecting our country.

We are monitoring the insurers’ actions and note they are all making concerted contributions in assessing and handling claims and supporting their clients in need.

For example, Allianz currently has some 850 claims and have nine (9) staff on the ground meeting their clients to offer immediate emergency support. QBE, Vero and a number of other major insurers have bolstered their support and access to emergency help, either with direct hotlines available or through Brokers. We commend them for playing a major part in assisting and restoring communities and families. It’s times like these that make me feel proud that insurance plays an important role in assisting Australians in crisis.

We encourage all WA community members to consider making a donation. The families that have been made homeless are in need of our urgent help; whether it be food, medical supplies, accommodation and the like. Please consider those affected and help those in need.

Insurance may restore their homes, but the uninsured costs and devastation is unquantifiable….the hidden trauma these people are experiencing is where we all can help as Australians.

Be proud, DONATE and support now!
